Has anyone made a version of BRO (or BROPLUS) in Harbour?

Or is there something similar someone else has already created in Harbour?

I settled on using BRO as my DBF utility about 17 years ago.

Or should I see what work is involved in migrating the BROPLUS source code to Harbour, since I have the full (purchased) source.

Hi John

I tried without luck (many errors while compiling), so I decided to keep my "subversion" under xharbour, com flavour, which run almost fine after a large (a very large in time) and complex modifications over the years.

I never published it as it is under the copyright of the owner (I don't know who is and if it still applies), but I should say that this modified version works with some minor errors that I can live with.

My $0.02 ...

I really recommend this one: DbcH

Also, in case you use SQLite: DbcH SQLite

I am considering  to convert a nice tool I found for that purpose when browsing the internet (I do not remember where I found it, but I think it was a very old Clipper forum).
The original author is David A. Kennedy. It would be very nice to contact the author be about it before I go ahead - anyone has any news from him? The tool is from 1993!
If we can contact him - it will be the best option...Otherwise I could also assume it is a abandonware and go ahead with my convertion - it is a feasable job and it will work fine under Windows 32/64bits.
It is a much better alternative to DBU.

I own an original copy of Bro and BroPlu. The printed manual credits Peter Voltz of Smartcode Programming as the original copyright owner.
