It was derived from broplus?

If so, you have done a big effort converting...

I purchsed years ago the same package, with source code, and have modified it to fit my needs, but still is a "console" application.

A detail: when I choose Save Settings, under the Global settings option menu, the program hangs.

Maybe other "set" values should also be in that menu option: deleted, confirm, decimals, fpt default size, dbf lock scheme, etc.

I have been using the shareware bro plus program since 1994. I made this program while I was watching options in the bro plus. In the following versions (this is second version), the program will also have these options (deleted, confirm, decimals, fpt default size, dbf lock scheme, etc.).

Now build export to excel without any dll.

Srdjan .. I like your work and still use ( unfortunitly ) the 16 bit foxpro in DosBox to view\list structures, look at indexes and to view data for bad data records, goto recno ?? etc. I find dosbox to be very awkward especially if the cursor gets caught up in the foreground.

If your software offers a command line prompt .. I would be very interested.

There's a drop-down at the bottom of the page, if you try to use it, that's when it hangs. It may have been that I didn't hit escape to clear whatever it was holding on.

I'll continue testing it. When I'm sure it's working I'll be glad to buy a license. It's the best tool I've come across so far.

Great job!!!

Just a couple of remarks (sorry if these are demo option limits):

- It'b be nice to see in the bottom line the index key next to "Order:", and also in Record/Seek box.

- The indexes/tags bottom dropdown doesn't open when the database window is maximised.

- In a table opened with DBFCDX RDD and 2 indexes contained in the CDX, when changing order with Ctrl-N you see the records rearranged, but seek doesn't work giving a "record not foud" error for data you are looking at (index is ok)

- When opening a DBF with DBFNTX RDD, how do you open the indexes? In the Index menu I only found the option to Create/Modify index, not the Open index option.

It seems that a sequential operation is performed sometimes (for example when changing index order), which takes a lot of time in huge databases (I'm testing with a 16.724,536 records one) and Windows shows "(Not Responding)" in the title bar.

If you wait enough, the app takes control again.

   -   Unable to create two (or more) indexes under DBFCDX in one *bag". I.e., I would like my LOTNOS.DBF to have a LOTNOS.CDX with several index tags within it. I have tried to do this unsuccessfully.

   - I have a codepage problem: I have a default of 'Serbian Windows - 1251'. What I want is a choice of north american code pages. (I have never had to look at this problem in the past because U.S.A.  was the default, I guess). Anyway, could you provide a code page choice that would work for me in Arizona, USA ?

   - A probably related problem to codepages: I have a database of some 300 URL's containing & and ?  character in links for real estate listings. When I view these long text fields, I cannot 'see' the '&' char !. But, when I Edit the long text fields, the '&' chars appear ! Weird !

   This viewing/editing experience is 'blowing my mind'

Hope you can duplicate and repair this, or tell me how to approach the problem differently.

    Both databases I'm testing are private and have access codes that are restricted for only my viewing. So, I guess I have to create a new test database to send you. Will do that later.

    Again:

   My URLLINK.DBF has a long text field that has actual URL Links  with passcodes, and post fields that are private. BUT, when I 'view only' this text field, the '&' characters do NOT display, but when I EDIT this long text field, they DO Display !

   The LOTNOS.DBF problem is that I do not know HOW to create the LOTNOS.CDX file with multiple TAGS in it. I can easily create the 1st Tag, but how do I  Add another Tg to this Bag ?

For what it's worth;  You can always use ARC32.   It is free and you can execute SQL against your dbf/cdx, dbf/ntx, dbf/vfp, adt/adi.  It works and it is free.
