Appeal to vote for me - contesting for the post of Joint Treasurer.

Dear Friends

Good morning  !

Our community elections is about to take place in couple of days i.e., on 25.03.2018 (Sunday) and I am one of the contestant who had put my nomination for the post of Joint Treasurer.  It came to light with yesterday, that a committee was already decided internally & finalized joined together to form a team before the election to took place, which is not be good sign for the betterment of our community.

Requesting other contestants to withdraw from the elections is not correct. We, the residents of Happy Windows community are solely responsible for this situation & state of affairs, we should have come forward & joined hands together to contest in the election which would have not paved way for this situation.

Even though no one came forward to put their nomination other than the already formed group I came forward contesting for the post of Joint Treasurer. As a women contestant I wish to represent all women in the happy windows, visiting personally to reach residents understanding the problems faced by each individual

Last year also I have put my nomination, but unfortunately elections were stopped, reasons are known to you all.

I have taken special interest from the beginning. I actively participated, involved and supported during recent new year 2018 celebrations encouraging kids of happy windows by contributing prizes to the participants, also given participation certificates to all the kids of the Happy Windows.

I request all the owners of the happy windows to cast your valuable vote for me to win elections for the post of JOINT TREASURER to serve you for our community development.

I will serve for the well-being of our community at my level best with the combined efforts of the members of "would be" management committee members. I believe that all the resident friends will extend their full support for me and our community.

Before the election no one has right to form committee and if the application is submitted by you and if the same is in order you are entitled to contest no one can ask you withdraw. Take up this with election officer

Totally agree with you sir. A committee is declared elected post elections. Asking someone to withdraw is gross violation of the basic ethics of a society.

Request the election officer to take a serious note of the same and take action as deemed required.

Anyone who is qualified to nominate can nominate and contest and this forms the basics of a society wellness.

Respected Sir,

I, the undersigned have applied for the position of block representative of Block 1. Sir, I would like to bring to your kind attention the following information:

The contestant a Mr. Saranathan who has applied to for the post of President of the association has approached my father and someone in his team has approached my husband. The summary of both the conversations was that I must withdraw from the election from the position of block representative. I was asked to step down to accommodate someone in my place. Someone from ‘their ‘ team. Someone who is also a defaulter on the date of submission and hence ineligible to compete as per the bye-laws. 

Today morning I have seen a common email from the aforesaid that they have a team. A person who has tried to coerce a neighbour to withdraw an election may not play fair in the elections and further if wins the same may not pay heed to my/ any other member who is not from his team regarding the decisions to be taken for the welfare of the association and the residents. 

I am expressing this concern after reading the email dated today which is attached along with a manifesto. I hope it will be made ample clear to all concerned that the election needs to be impartial and that every elected member be given ample pportunity to represent and defend the decisions of their block. 

Regardless of teams we are all residents and we would want someone who can keep the best interests of the residents in mind to be elected as President. This is for your kind information and record.
