Hello Family and Friends!
A few weeks ago I met with the Rector of Cathedral Guadalupe about an opportunity to take my musical talents over there and help them start a new mass. Sadly, it will be at the same time that Holy Trinity Catholic Church has had their mass - the Sunday Five which is the mass I helped start along with several of you back in January 2003.

For more than 10 years, I have dedicated my services to growing the mass and sharing my music making (and making other music makers). It is the toughest thing I will do; leaving my home and moving to another to start from nothing. I wanted to share this with you before making an announcement today at mass.

My last Sunday Five at Holy Trinity will be on Sunday March 24th Palm Sunday (at 5 p.m.). My last Easter mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be on March 31st at 11:15 a.m. We will do a mini concert (as always) starting at 10:30 a.m. If you have not made plans, might you consider joining me for this special mass? My last mass at Trinity. You can bet we'll rock out before mass. I will start the new mass at Cathedral Guadalupe on April 7th.

I am very excited about this new opportunity as I see it as a stepping stone to the Diocesan seat where I can be an influence on a greater scale about the role of contemporary music in our liturgy. It is something I welcome with an open heart and an open mind. There is the sadness of leaving Trinity.

Please keep me in your prayers as I continue these next few weeks the conclusion of Lent into Palm Sunday and then Easter. And please pray for the community that I leave that they may be in good hands to continue the legacy of good music in sound liturgy.

So be it...

Augustine "Tino" Jalomo
