Presence Server Problem

I am getting the following error when trying to run presence server on linux.

panic: dial tcp [::1]:1883: connect: connection refused

goroutine 1 [running]:

and pretty much the same thing when running on windows.

I dont see any prerequisites so I am wondering what its trying to connect to.
