Apple Watch

Has anyone had any luck with being able to track apple watch's? I really love happy bubbles, I think I have like 8 of them. My problem is that I don't want to carry around an additional beacon and it seems like the iPhone can't continuously act as a BLE Beacon without the app staying in the foreground. I haven't had any luck researching to see if I can track the apple watch either. Is anyone else looking for something similar?

I agree it would be great.  I just checked and was not able to see my 1st Gen Apple watch, even if I had it scan for other devices.
