Large amount of uploaded data.

I just noticed that my HappyBubbles presence detector is uploading a lot of data, almost 38 GB of data according to my router:

Is this normal?

Yea, it can be. The detectors just pass along all BLE advertisements they see over MQTT. Depending on how many BLE devices you have and how often they advertise, it could definitely add up to that much.

But it's not really a big deal for modern wifi networks, are you experiencing slower speeds on your other devices because of this? Of course, because of how much bandwidth they use, I definitely recommend using them on a local network and not transferring between public servers, otherwise bandwidth costs could be too high.
