"Alberta - Calgary - Symons playground - An abandoned school in the
NE little ways out of the city. Late at night, sounds of children
laughing are heard. Inside the school, there have been numerous
reports of actual glimpses of the ghostly children playing. It has
been said that 2 teens went in the school and were never found again."

The preceding was found at the "Shadowlands" website and I was curious
to know if anyone (investigators or fellow posters) had more
information on the topic! My group of amateur investigators have
researched the story, but have yet to come up with any leads beyond
this short description. The research towards elementary schools as
well as outdated maps have yielded no new findings, and any
suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

First of all, its great to have an interest in the paranormal. But to
be true investigators, you must look at all other options, natural and
environmental occurances before stating that something is
unexplainable. If you are looking for ghosts, you are a ghost
hunter. But if you are conducting investigations, gathering data and
looking at all other explanations, then you are an investigator. If
you do go to this site, do it legally. We have been requested by
people to go do investigations on private property, but because other
groups in Edmonton gained access by tresspassing, we were refused.
And if you do gather any data, and want to present it on a website as
real, then please check, double check and triple check your findings,
and even share it with another investigations team (there are ones in
the UK that are great to discuss findings with). Right now this
industry isn't regulated, but we are trying to change that. Any data
that hasn't been checked out, and is presented as real (and there is a
logical explanation), hurts the established groups that are in this
industry for life, and for the right reasons. Even though we do put
submitted photos, etc on our site, we give our thoughts on the subject
- but leave it up to others to come to their own conclusions. The
only data we will stand by, is that data that we have gathered.
So good luck, but please, do this logically, and with respect for the
place you want to investigate. If you do capture anything, we will be
happy to discuss it with you - if you truly do want to get the the
facts.
