Using Hapi to call syntheticmass

Hello, I'm new to HAPI and looking to create some tests/demos. I've made a call to syntheticmass to retrieve some patient data (https://syntheticmass.mitre.org/v1/fhir/Patient?_count=100&apikey=<APIKEY>)

In java I can make this call using standard HTTPClient but I'm not sure how to convert the json using HAPI. Should i be using IGenericClient that I see in some examples and if so how would make the above GET call to syntheticmass using it?

Take a look under ca.uhn.fhir.rest.client.interceptor.... AdditionalRequestHeadersInterceptor?
