Hi Sonali,

If you look at the server's conformance statement: http://fhirtest.uhn.ca/baseDstu3/metadata

..and do a search for the extension with "http://hl7api.sourceforge.net/hapi-fhir/res/extdefs.html#resourceCount" you'll find the counts. If you do a grep through the codebase you'll find that extension being used both in the JPA server (to provide the counts) and in the UI.

Note that the actual URL will probably change at some point. That URL has existed since HAPI's early days, and the definition is long lost, not to mention the fact that the data type is decimal even though it should be integer.
