Differences observed in validation results!!

Hi Folks,

I'm pretty new to the world of HAPI & FHIR and recently was trying my hands on validation of resources. I used 2 approaches, one with the validator jar provided by HL7 org here: https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/Using+the+FHIR+Validator 

&& 

the other using a framework I built using the HAPI FHIR libraries. Interestingly I observed that the validation results are hugely different in both the cases. I'm attaching the screenshots of html reports from both validation approaches and the resource file I had used, for reference here.

Can anyone help me achieve same results using HAPI library as is seen with the validator jar. Any leads/pointers will be really helpful and much appreciated!

Hi Iliyas

It looks like your hapi-fhir setup does not know  http://hl7.org/fhir/us/core/StructureDefinition/us-core-smokingstatus which

is from the US Core Implementation Guide. You need to configure the hapi-fhir validator with that Implementation Guide. The other

differences will be around which terminology server codes will be evaluated (HL7 FHIR validator uses tx.fhir.org).
