Query on Elastic search plugin integration in hapi-fhir-jpaserver-starter

Hi Team,

As I understand from the hapi-fhir-jpaserver-starter documentation, it uses elastic search plugin for search functionality.

 

As per the reference here "Elasticsearch 7.11 and later are distributed under the Elastic License and the SSPL, which are not considered open-source by the Open Source Initiative".  So I would like to know :

1. if elastic search plugin can be replaced with opensearch ?

2. if it is possible to downgrade the elastic search plugin version to lower than 7.11 so code contribution is allowed for the component.
