Hi Susan

Sorry I don't know anything about the family of Catherine Richardson.

There is an association 'The 1788-1820 Pioneer association Inc, 280-282 Pitt Street, Sydney 2000, P O Box A1121, Sydney South NSW 1235. Tel 02 92627049'. They might be able to help - they might have a member who is descended from Robert Richardson. You could write or ring them.

Judith

Dear Susan,

Sorry for the delay.  I've attached a PDF file from my family tree program.  I still have a few newspaper clippings which I havent entered (always collecting and never entering!).

I have tried to verify the information as much as possible but think there may be any number of errors.  I think what little information I have for Joseph Thomas Hanslow is all wrong.  If you have any information on this branch I would be grateful.

I dont have any information about Catherine Richardson in my program, but I'm sure I've got printouts of information in my files, so I'll have a look and send you a copy.  I also have some information on the Berringer family which I'll dig out and send to you as well.

Rebecca Hanslow's granddaughters, Alice and Elsie Robertshaw married two brothers, John Henry and Richard Charles May, who were my mother-in-law's uncles.

I think that we have been in contact before so much of what I send may have been provided to me by you.

I have been to St Peters Cemetery on a few occasions and photographed Peter & Louisa's headstone.  It is one of the few remaining stones there now.

Anyway, hope you find the attached interesting and I'll send through more info as I find it.

Kind regards

    Hi Michelle,

My wife Janette Mary Hepper nee Hanslow  daughter of Neville Baxter (Benjamin James, Joseph Thomas, Benjamin James) is part of the Joseph Thomas part of Benjamin’s tree.

I have some information which may add to your tree. I will read your great PDF in full over the next few days and provide any additional information, some of which may differ a little to yours from a quick scan of your great document.

    Kind Regards

    Hi all,

Wanted to ask if any from the Richardson/Benjamin Hanslow lines could post any photos to us, please, of say Joseph Thomas Hanslow or Mary Jane Richardson, Benjamin James jnr etc. I don't suppose there are any photos of Benjamin Hanslow about. Photography wasn't used much before his death was it around 1857?
I am trying to contact Wendy O'Brien about her branch of the Hanslows.
Couldn't find her current email address.
    Hope Wendy gets this message.

    Kind regards,
    Susan, in
    NSW.

I'm still here on the same email address, I have replied to a couple of posts but I'm not sure if they actually get through to the google group,

I've been pouring over your fascinating pdf Michelle, and can add to it for my line. I'll look at it some more next week and send my comments to you.

William Drane and Mary Catherine O'Louglin were my grandparents, through my mother Millicent Iris Drane & Bede Joseph O'Brien.

      Hi Michelle

As mentioned previously my wife was a Hanslow, following the tree of BJ, Joseph Thomas, BJ and Neville Baxter. Listed is some information I have on the family, albeit, gathered from numerous people, not all fully evidenced by documentation. It can be so difficult tracing things with Benjamin and Benjamin James being very common names with the overall family group. I must give credit to Mervyn Kitchin for providing information and assistance, along with the late John Lawrence Hanslow.

Page 1 of your PDF dated 27 May 2011

Benjamin and Catherine had ten children accordingly to the information I have gathered. The two you did not list are,

      Catherine born 1830 died 1831

      Peter born 1846 died 25 August 1847

I have Rebecca being born 1832 and Robert Alfred shown as Alfred Robert, which others have likewise.

      PAGE 3

Benjamin James (15 M), note here has the same date of death as my wife’s grandfather. This would be highly unlikely.

      PAGE 12

Benjamin T should be Benjamin J who died in Dubbo 30 October 1959, his father JT was a baker in Sydney but moved to Gulgong for health reasons. JT married Mary Jane Taylor in 1863 in Surrey Hills, father James and mother Sarah Curran

      Page 17

The information here on BJ is not totally correct, he was born 1869 in Ryde and married Louisa not Louise.

      Page 18/43

Neville Baxter was born 22 December 1913 and died 7 June 1999, born at Goolma NSW. Married Avril Myrtle Lindley born 13 October 1913 died Dubbo 26 November 1983, father Elijah Henry Lindley mother Emma Mary Roberts.

They had three children Terrence Neville born 4 February 1940, married Elizabeth Hope Williams born 14 May 1943 father Neville Arthur Phillip Williams and mother Veronica Hope. Terry has two children Phillip and Louise and two grandchildren Joel and Emma.

Janette Mary born 12 December 1949, married 1969 to Grahame John Hepper born 1 January 1948 in Dubbo, father Colin Hepper mother Lorraine Phyllis Muir. We have two children Kylie Lorraine and Adam John. We have three grandchildren, Tobias 6, Scarlett 4 and Baxter 2

and of course Diana stillborn 1951

Jenny is yet to fill in more details about her dad’s brothers and sisters which are many and her mother had only one brother, Stirling who lived in WA but little is known about his situation. If I find any thing helpful i will let you know.

Hope this is of some assistance, albeit, maybe not a direct line to your branch of the tree.

      Regards

      Grahame
