Hi all,

Let me first explain way I have not been active on the site. I have
had a number of family issues (illness with by elderly Hanslow In
laws) which as meant trips at short notice to Birmingham. Thankfully
they are now sorted out and their health is as good as it can be for
people of (4 and 93. I have had some heart problems and am under
constant review because my cancer counts are increasing, looks like
more treatment.

The news part.

Clara Alice Barnes (nee Hanslow) will be 100 on the 12 June. She is
the GGG grandaughter of Joseph Hanslow 1796. Joseph is the brother of
Peter and Benjamin who were sent to Australia has convicts.

Does anyone one else have Hanslows with long live spans?

Mervyn

Dear Mervyn,

Sorry to hear you are ill and may need more treatment.
Hope you can get through a day at a time- which is I suppose what we
all have to do as one never knows what each day holds do we?
Benjamin Hanslow, my ancestor, was a bit of a drinker and got up to mischief
stealing in NSW as well it seems and had a violent relationship at times with Catherine.
Haven't heard of longevity really in my Hanslow line, but them again I haven't
had much to do with this line as was my grandmother's and het grandparents, Joseph Thomas Hanslow, baker, and wife Mary Jane Taylor had moved out from
Sydney to the country and lived the quiet rural life there on a farm.
Not sure of their health etc.except that Joseph had respiratory problems, lungs, and this was one reason for the move to the fresh country air.
All the best for now,

Kind regards,
Susan, in
NSW.
