ripper and audio converter made in java. jRipper can
encode and decode Wav, Flac, MP3, Ogg, AAC(M4A)
formats. It can also do transcoding between various
formats. Beware though that every transcoding
deteriorate the quality of the audio file. jRipper
works as an frontend to cdda2wav, lame,
oggenc/oggdec, flac and faac/faad programs, which
does the actually reading/encoding/decoding work.
jRipper can load track names for an CD from
freedb.org by http or using the cdda2wav program. It
can not get names from a CD that have a data track
on it!
