The Hannah Frank exhibition at the Maclaurin Gallery in Ayr as part of the 'Cultural Connections' exhibition (Benno Schotz, Josef Herman, Jankel Adler) has been absolutely fantastic. It comes to an end on Sunday 21st September and there are a couple of activities before then - a CONFERENCE and a LUNCH AND CONCERT.
The Conference, on Scottish Jewish Life and Scottish Jewish Arts, takes place this Sunday and Monday 14th and 15th September. (Sunday is 'life', 12-3, Monday is 'art', 11-4 - full programme here ) It includes, on the Monday afternoon, a showing of the film 'Hannah Frank, The Spark Divine' with a talk by the director, Sarah Thomas. The conference is free to attend, with a voluntary contribution of £5 for the kosher buffet, and you can come for both days or just one. To book email maclauri...@gmail.com or tel 01292 443708.

Also at the Maclaurin Gallery is a very special photo exhibition called 'The Making of an Exhibition' by award winning photographer Claire Maxwell - a very unusual exhibition taking in all the research, setting up, planning and hanging that took place behind the scenes, and some of the activities that have happened during the show. Don't miss it!
After Ayr the works will have a rest and then go back to the Nail Factory in Dalbeattie for November and December - a LOVELY place where the art was very much appreciated last summer. We'll be having a special Chanukah get-together at the end of the show - 630 p.m on Thursday 18th December
Get in touch for more info on buying notelets, prints, books, sculpture
