Hi All,
I've been using Handyback (ver 6.9.5) for some time and have about 500GB of files backed up.  Recently, the drive I was backing up failed, and I am trying to restore without much luck.

I have several backups that all pointed to the same offsite drive (folder).  In the backup task Operation tab I selected Zip compression (multiple files), with Blowfish encryption.

When the drive failed, the first thing I did was to make a copy of the backup drive.  What I see is one backup.hbi file at the root, and then I see folders mirroring the original folder structure, and all of the files are there, named <base name>.zip.bf.

When I try to create a restore task, it runs and restores ONE of my backup tasks.  If I try to restore any of the other task, they immediately show 100% complete success, without doing anything.  I'm getting the feeling that the backup.hbi file only contains the data from the most recent task.

What I really need, I think, is a way to decode the individual .zip.bf files.

As some other uses have pointed out, Handybackup.net's tech support responds quickly, but so far have not been very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Erik

To restore your data you have to create restore tasks for each backup you have done : http://handybackup.net/manual/v7/first-restore.shtml
Also you have to enter your password for decryption : http://handybackup.net/manual/v7/enter-password-for-decryption.shtml
