Hi All,
I've been using Handyback (ver 6.9.5) for some time and have about 500GB of files backed up. Recently, the drive I was backing up failed, and I am trying to restore without much luck.
I have several backups that all pointed to the same offsite drive (folder). In the backup task Operation tab I selected Zip compression (multiple files), with Blowfish encryption.
When the drive failed, the first thing I did was to make a copy of the backup drive. What I see is one backup.hbi file at the root, and then I see folders mirroring the original folder structure, and all of the files are there, named <base name>.
zip.bf.
When I try to create a restore task, it runs and restores ONE of my backup tasks. If I try to restore any of the other task, they immediately show 100% complete success, without doing anything. I'm getting the feeling that the backup.hbi file only contains the data from the most recent task.
What I really need, I think, is a way to decode the individual .
zip.bf files.
As some other uses have pointed out, Handybackup.net's tech support responds quickly, but so far have not been very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Erik
