Recently replaying DAO & 2. Just downloaded Inquisition today, and although on DA Keep it says that my world state is being exported successfully, on creation of a new character in Inquisition I only have access to the default world state. My game is unable to connect to the DA servers, tried numerous restarts, unticking and resetting boxes on account in-game but to no avail. I have all 3 games through Xbox Gamepass and am playing on PC.

@Bambo_Unchained So all world states should say default world state. They are never renamed if you do so or make changes. Check out this link here. It should give you a lot of steps to help with this one.

As for the error you get, this is because the social.bioware.com site no longer exists, so all that error means is that it just cannot connect to the social site. Does nothing about the content or the game in any way.

So you're saying that my world state may be importing successfully into Inquisition, but it'll still show up as "Default world state" because the name doesn't change? I've gone through the steps on the link you sent, but several require you to be logged into DAO & 2, and both servers are unavailable. I'm not fussed if my existing wardens and Hawkes wont sync to the keep, I just want to make sure that the world state I'm creating on the Keep is actually importing into inquisition, as when the choice to choose a world state comes up after character creation, I don't have an option for any imported world, only "Default world state".

I edited one world state below, and the other I left normal. When I create a new game, it asks if I want to import, I click yes and it says world state import successful. It just does not give the name

When it asks you to "log in" to DAO and DAII, all that did was connect your profile to a social site that no longer exists. Past that, does not do much for the game anymore. Just make sure the world state that you want to use is the one you manually imported into DAI from the site first and then in the game.

And now I have to start a new character because that into music is amazing.

I made world state "Bishbashbosh" and exported, said on the next new game it should start with that state. No luck. See my screenshots, still only the "Default world state" after character creation, with no prompt for if I'd like to use an imported world state like you got. Hope you aren't too busy on the new character to respond now

@Bambo_Unchained When you import it in the site, and then in game, it won't say the name of the new one you created. That is the drawback. Once imported in the site, and you load that on character creation, do you see any changes in game?

@EA_Shepard I set the world state to say that Leliana didn't survive DAO, to see if she'd show up in the opening cutscenes. Sadly she's still there. Its like my game just isn't communicating with dragon age keep, there's no indication that any data is being downloaded.

@Bambo_Unchained Gotcha, so do this, go into the keep, lock the one you want to use. This will lock all decisions you made so nothing actually changes. Then just create a random character and import that one again and see if it pushes that through.

There may be a cache desync from the site to the game. You may also want to clear your browser cache as well or use the keep on a mobile device with a different connection. Mobile vs WiFi etc and see if these make a difference.

i did the three checkmarks off on the home page, ive confirmed my xbox and DA keep are connected correctly, the world state has a checkmark meaning it was properly uploaded, i have restarted the console, deleted the xbox from the ea profile and readded it, ininstalled and reinstalled the game...

ive done all this in every combo i can think of and nothing has fixed it. The only thing im doing different from when i would play before and it was successful (i have been able to load a custom world before) is the console im using - an Xbox Series S instead of an Xbox One.

I get the Keep couldn't import saved game state from Origins and Dragon Age 2, presumably because they predate the release of Origin. But I was sort of hoping that I would be able to, after completing Inquisition, import my post-game world-state for Inquisition back into Keep.

@Taurnilan Your completed/uploaded playthroughs are uploaded to the "playthrough states" section of the Keep (world states > playthrough states). In order to look at the contents of the tapestry you need to copy the world state to editable states.

I went to "The Inquisitor", then selected the inquisitor. It gave me three to choose from; I think I did start the game three times before I actually got going, so that makes some sense. But no matter which of the three I choose, when I go to the "Companions" tab, it tries to tell me that I didn't recruit any companions.

I am currently away from my home and copy of Dragon Age Inquisition, so at the moment I have no way of answering a question for myself that has been bugging me lately. You can only have one world state at a time imported to Inquisition from the Keep, so I was wondering if anyone knows how that affects multiple profiles? Are we free to change world states once we're done with the character creator? I'm not necessarily ready to actually play another Inquisitor (I'm not even very far into the game), but I do want to make a few more in the character creator. But I also don't want to risk messing up my first game. A cursory search of the forums didn't bring anything up.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 19:37, November 21, 2014 (UTC)

I would really like a world state/save game editor like they have for Mass Effect. Jumped right in with a default world and now not happy with that decision. Already put 117hrs into the game and don't want to start over. Not to mention my Inquisitor looks good and I don't think I'd be able to remake her half as good.

I've been doing a Qunari for a good while, using a worldstate I produced over a few playthroughs, thing is... I made a number of mistakes with the choices it had in the keep. I had been screwing over the dalish pretty badly in my previous games, and not owning up to that, while I prefer having them around, feels absolutely cheap, my biggest peeve with the Keep system as opposed to progressive savegame imports.

I'd like to face the consequences of my actions properly, and I've already put in a great deal of time into my game. I have a savegame before approaching the dalish here, and I haven't been playing since I first saw them. Any help would be appreciated

Short note at the bottom says he's also located world state import data. I hope he finds a way to let us modify the world state import data. I offered to help with finding the world state flags, but unfortunately didn't hear back.

I tried it, and it works! Changed Hawke from male to female as per my DA2 Hawke. Unfortunately, once you get past a certain point (I assume the point where you meet Hawke), it's no longer possible to change Hawke's appearance.

so i have a problem as i lost internet at my apartment and i'm using my phones internet tethering till the tech comes out next week. its to slow to allow me to connect online to port over my world state. it was 10 min before i could even log into my account on nexus to even post this. i'm able to get to my email and download, log into the website to mess with my dragon keep world but it just will not sink with the game. can some one email me a save game with a world state that's close to the link and little tweaking the face a little. Qunari, male, mage, preset head 2, green eyes with blue in the center, scruffy beard, the biggest horns.

Hey Gnat, I haven't really kept an eye on my dragon age save reader tool, other than occasionally checking if the server is still online. I created the tool you find on Stinstin's website, and developed the Dragon Age 2 support. With that in mind, I'd like to answer your question - unfortunately there's nothing better for getting DA2 world states. Reverse engineering the Dragon Age 2 save files is a long, tedious process for simple quests, but the weeks I put into making that work pale in comparison to how much time and effort it would take to support even the most basic romance options. The reason for this is that these romance quests span the entire game, and it becomes very difficult to associate the correct quest flags with the correct activities and quests.

@sjaakiejj, thank you very much for the explanation! Your tool is truly wonderful and I greatly appreciate the talent and effort you put into researching and writing it. I was definitely quite happy to have found it.
