From the Westside with Love II is the debut studio album by American rapper Dom Kennedy. The album was released on June 28, 2011.[1] The album features guest appearances from Asher Roth, Mikey Rocks, Polyester, Big K.R.I.T., Casey Veggies and Schoolboy Q.
Dom Kennedy continues his independent run in his label The Other's People Money Company Inc, LLC). The grind is undeniable, which rightly earns him a lot of respect. The mixtape has him hitting more smooth songs like Don't Walk Away ft. Quentin Miller, Hypnotized ft. Bryan Roberts or Star Baby which back up the with love aspect.
A follow up to his 2011 debut album "II: From The Westside, With Love" and the 2010 "From The Westside With Love" mixtape, "From The Westside With Love Three" finds Dom Kennedy still in his element, but showing more growth in his artistry. With 15 tracks, he's still grinding and sharing what's happening on his side. The album features production from the likes of Mike and Keys, G Dav, Juicy Smoove, and Hit-Boy, with guest appearances from Tee-FLii, Quentin Miller, and True among others. Dom is still out here doing it, and he has a lot more on the way.
With a design that pairs terse, basic lyricism with á knack for narrative, Kennedy got motivation from West Coast rap legends like 2Pair conditioning and DJ Quik and began rapping in the late 2000s, progressively building word-of-mouth buzz through many self-released mixtapes.
