for some reason it installs windows 10 HOME, i don't even get an OS selection, the iso is for ALL VERSIONS but, selection screen. it just puts home on there. i thought there was a power shell command to convert windows versions, i've used it on windows server before but, can't find it or my google fu is weak.

found an old pro only iso, HOWEVER having typed in "uefi" in the start menu i was able to reboot to advanced options like for roll back and all that and in there was a pxe boot option!!! i was able to image it with our normal image. i never would have expected to find pxe boot in the windows TS and roll back safemode boot menu!

Chances are your hardware does not have the win 10 license applied in the hardware, from Microsoft, so the windows install will not find the key automatically. We have purchased Win 10 enterprise SA for this reason alone. We run 100's of surfaces.

i was going to say i've only see that do updates but ,they updates to a very specific version of windows. too bad deleted the recovery partition, then again i could never get passed the cloud account page on win 11 to ever try running anything.

Pro has become so abused, it is irrelevant. I would never assume a product with the word PRO in it means anything beyond a marketing word to attract buyers. How about an HP LaserJet Pro 283? How can a product with a 3" touch screen that is nearly impossible to type on and 800 copy toner cartridges considered professional? How about Professional truck drivers? Based on the number of videos on Youtube of so-called professionals the bar for entry is pretty low.

i don't believe i ever stated that it did, i have no way to tell as i was never able to get past the cloud sign up. i however NEED a pro version to join it to AD. As part of an MS volume license we are allowed to purchase (and have licenses) for windows 10 pro to install to whatever hardware want so long as we have purchased enough licenses.

As I understand, going from Windows 10 Home to Pro cannot be done via Volume Licensing. See: -upgrade-systems-with-windows-10-home-oem-to-pro-volum.... where you will read, "You are required to have a qualifying version of Windows installed on your device to purchase Volume Licensing Upgrades of Windows 10 Pro."
