Recipe:

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 lb beef liver, thinly sliced
    • 1 cup milk (for soaking)
    • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Instructions:

    1. Soak the Liver: Place liver slices in milk, cover, and soak for 30 minutes. This removes any bitterness.
    2. Prepare the Pan: Heat olive oil and butter over medium heat in a skillet.
    3. Cook Onions: Add onions, cook until caramelized (about 10 minutes).
    4. Cook Liver: Remove liver from milk, pat dry, season with salt and pepper. Add liver to skillet, cook each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned and slightly pink inside.
    5. Serve: Top with onions, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Tips: Don’t overcook the liver; it should be tender with a slight pink center. Pair with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
