Hi all! Sharing a recipe for beef liver that’s both delicious and nutrient-rich. This is ideal for anyone looking to add more iron and vitamins to their diet.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 lb beef liver, thinly sliced
1 cup milk (for soaking)
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Soak the Liver: Place liver slices in milk, cover, and soak for 30 minutes. This removes any bitterness.
Prepare the Pan: Heat olive oil and butter over medium heat in a skillet.
Cook Onions: Add onions, cook until caramelized (about 10 minutes).
Cook Liver: Remove liver from milk, pat dry, season with salt and pepper. Add liver to skillet, cook each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned and slightly pink inside.
Serve: Top with onions, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Tips: Don’t overcook the liver; it should be tender with a slight pink center. Pair with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
