Dear Sir/Madam, 9th March, 2011
Greetings from Chetana Society.
This is a communication to cordially invite you to participate in a
one day National Workshop on “National Fibre Policy: Small Producers
in Fibre Supply Chains” to be organised by us.
Conceived as a brainstorming platform to discuss the content of the
National Fibre Policy, this workshop will look into the concerns of
small producers including farmers, organic farmers, yarn processors,
handloom weavers and garment makers. A draft National Fibre Policy is
under consideration of the Ministry of Textiles, government of India.
Conceived as a brainstorming platform to discuss the content of the

help in raising awareness levels on cotton supply chains, and the need
to influence policy making with regard to the growth of natural fibres
such as cotton, silk, wool and jute. This national workshop will focus
