I'm having some issues with installing code composer version 5 on my operating system which contains windows 10 enterprise. While downloading code composer version 5 I received an alert saying that there was a compatibility issue. CCS6 doesn't seem to have support packages for the Embedded systems suite found in Simulink. This suite allows program blocks to be downloaded to DSP.CCS5 has the files/packages to support Simulink embedded systems suit though.

From the bug description, and the original thread -composer-studio-group/ccs/f/code-composer-studio-forum/1000381/ccs-hanging-after-git-repos-added-to-the-project/3705378#3705378 think the issue is trigger by having some GIT views on display when CCS is shutdown.

I downloaded and installed TI's code composer: CCS5.1.1.00031_win32.zip under Windows 7 (32-bit) to play with an MSP430 Launchpad board. I followed the instructions in the LaunchPad.pdf document. I already had Eclipse Indigo 3.7.1 installed, but I had to install the CDT. I rebooted Windows and Eclipse still runs, but when I run Code Composer, there are not any changes or options for the TI License or project files. I checked Eclipse under Help/About/Installation Details, and it shows the plug-ins for Code Composer. If I attempt to re-install, it shows that I already have Code Composer installed. There is no option under Help for "Code Composer Studio Licensing Information", so I presume the problem is that I don't have any license file defined. And I don't have any options available to create a CCS Project. Any hints or pointers on how I can resolve this problem.

I've installed the latest version of Eclipse, but did not re-install CCS. I still have the same problem, there are no CCS options available in Eclipse, (i.e, the project wizard does not show the code composer studio option under "other". ...no license link under Help.

During compilation, when things change, some signal(s) gets sent to all the open windows to "repaint" themselves. If the repaint happens in a timely manner, the window telling you what is is doing it gets suppressed. But if it takes a long time for the window to repaint, the underlying code (WX, Tkinter, or other windows generator) will popup a window telling you what is going on.

Problem: fread does not seem to work for TI tms320vc5502 cpus using any code composer studio on windows 10. I have tried with multiple installations to confirm this, I am currently using CCSv6. TI does not support the product anymore, so they have not been able to offer help.
