Very Impressed
By Retired
looking at the reviews I was a little worried about this product, but I was very impressed with it. It did a great job on our carpet steps. some of the reviews complained about the thing clogging up and I can see why you may have to clean the filter more often than you think.

Bought for many, many stairs. Loud and messy cleanup.
By E. Ziman
I live in a 3 story townhouse that has multiple carpeted staircases, and was tired of hauling and balancing my upright vacuum up and down the stairs, putting myself in precarious positions. I felt a hand vac was the answer, and this one seemed to be the only one I could ever find in stores that met my needs. (Mine is blue, not silver.)
It's LOUD. My ear was ringing by the time I was done. Will have to remember to use earplugs next time.
It started getting warm to the touch and giving off a bit of a 'warm plastic/hot dust' smell by the time I finished the first staircase. I stopped and let it cool down before tackling the next staircase.
It did suck up a LOT of crap from my carpets, but that could just be a negative testament of my cleaning habits. (Did I mention I hate using a full vacuum on stairs?) I had to empty the cup every 7 stairs or so. It didn't really lift up the carpet fibers like the regular vac did, but it sure did pull up a
lot. I don't have pets, but it's, um, been a while since I vacuumed the stairs, so maybe this evens out what I pulled up.
It's a nice size and has several useful attachments. The cord was plenty long enough to do the full flights. It was not heavy or hard to manipulate. I did not pull any muscles or bruise myself or lose my balance or trip while using it, which made the whole process bearable. I was just not impressed or excited by the results, as some things I had to go over multiple times to get it to suck up. (like fake Christmas tree needles that are worse than Easter grass. I DO vacuum the rest of the house more often than that, I swear! It's just those awful stairs . . .)
I dislike having to empty the cup and clean the HEPA filter, mainly because I made a huge mess while doing so. Next time I think I'll just take it and a can of compressed air and head outside. The neighbors can think what they like. I still feel like I'm covered in dust and that
I need to clean AGAIN. Ugh.

Noisy
By SelenaD
This vacuum works well but it is the loudest that I have ever used. I can only stand to use it for minimal jobs. I am going to donate it to Goodwill and buy something different.
