I imagine most of us have our Advent and Christmas music all picked out, so it seems like about the right time to restart one of the most popular annual threads: Advent and Christmas repertoire!

First Congregational/Glen Ellyn, December 6th:

"This Advent Moon Shines Cold and Clear," arr. Matthew Prins (unpublished); with SA choir

Park Ridge Presbyterian, December 20th:
"God With Us for All Time," arr. Betty Garee (Shawnee Press); with orchestral chimes
"Christmas Fantasy on Five Carols," arr. Page Long (National Music)

First Congregational/Glen Ellyn, December 24th @ 7:00p:
"God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen," arr. Matthew Prins (unpublished); with organ and flute
"O Come, All Ye Faithful," arr. Barbara Kinyon (Agape; from Noels for Bells)
"Meditation on 'Angels We Have Heard on High'," arr. Matthew Prins (unpublished)
"Pat-A-Pan," arr. Barbara Kinyon (Agape); with flute and tamborine

First Congregational/Glen Ellyn, December 24th @ 11:00p:
"Ring Out, Ye Crystal Spheres," K. Lee Scott (Oxford University); with SATB choir and organ

By the way, thanks for all the flute/handbells suggestions, everyone; I ended up going with one of the two-octave ones because it looks like we'll be short a ringer.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone else's lists...

Mine arrived today! Wahoo! That's fast shipping!

I'm going to leave it safely wrapped in it's USPS packaging for now; the
temptation is going to be rough, but I'm going to try to at least save it
until after Thanksgiving.

I think I just thought of another way to make money off Velocity toffee:

Stephanie ... I'll bet you $5 you don't make it until after Thanksgiving!!!

Mmmmmm, that buttery brittle ... I can hear it calling your name from here!!!

I said before I bought 4 cans. 2 of those are for my bell choirs - and
we've already gotten in to them. DELICIOUS - definitely a good batch this
year. :-)

YAY!

Who said anything about my 501(c)(3)?

No, gaming is probably not allowed, but I can do it personally then donate!

So, is it open yet?

Me too. I'm not allowed to have toffee. :(

(Not that it should stop... that's why I've been given a 'delete' key ;)

Thanks for the suggestion, Michele. I haven't bought Velocity toffee
since they were in Virginia/DC a few years ago -- because I have NO
BUSINESS eating it. But when you said you share it with your handbell
choirs I thought yeah, why not. So now I've up and ordered two cans for
all my little vultures. And I'll see how long I last before I dive in as
well!
Come to think of it, I'll take one can to the cathedral bell tower.
That's where the serious vultures reside!

That is a good idea, Michele.  Then I can have some in a controlled environment, LOL!  If it's at home, well, you know... short shelf life.
