ASCAP Reporting - from the source

I sent a note to ASCAP asking about this more complicated method of reporting for the ASCAP PLUS Award....Here's their reply below

-------Not at all. We found that with the old application people would put down songs/compositions, but never actually register them with ASCAP. Registering your titles is critical to getting paid by ASCAP when the works are used on radio, tv, etc. Now the process is actually closer tied to Member Access which is your hub for your business with ASCAP.

The process requires a few key things that do benefit you:

With Direct Deposit, you get paid quicker and even if your distribution is under the minimum for the check getting cut - with direct deposit you will get the money deposited. It is a win-win!

We will certainly look to make the new process better, such as drop down menus that allow you to select your songs right in the application.
