We just received a gift of a new C2 bell. It is very heavy! We need
to build a rack to hold it to ring with a mallet or with the clapper.
Has anybody built such a rack. If so, please let me know what it
looks like (picture, drawing, etc.) Thanks, Ramona Miller

There used to be some ad at the back of every Overtones that has plans for this.

Any ideas who this was?

Hi Ramona,

Rudy Rodriquez offered plans a "bass bell box" back in December which
might be adaptable to your needs. The message is
http://groups.google.com/group/handbell-l/browse_thread/thread/524f57deae10264a/b0ff9c6aeaa75770
and is forwarded below.

Hope that is helpful!

Daniel

Hi L'ers,
I have built one of those Bass Bell Boxes.  I fact  Christine
Anderson
probably saw that box at my church when she visited us years  ago.  I
have
plans how to build the box.  It is fairly easy to  build.  It uses
plywood,
screws, glue and carpet squares.

If anyone is interested in having a set of plans, e-mail me
 offline at:

_Rud...@aol.com_

The plans are in PDF format so everyone should be able to open
 them
easily.
