Thanks, Carol, for the shoutout in response to Paul's post about handbell publishing!
I wanted to take a moment to clarify what exactly 8-Bit Handbell does publish, which as of very recently, goes beyond the pop music genre.
Initially, 8-Bit Handbell's goal was to provide arrangements of pop, rock, musical, soundtrack, and video game scores to the greater handbell masses, with special regard toward school and youth programs. In that vein, it has been a great success with about 40 titles published. And while it did initially begin as a personal publishing project, the catalog now includes pieces arranged by P.L. Grove, Brian Seemann, Chris Simon, and Sasha Lovitz. This leads to the next update!
If you happened to have seen the recent Distinctly Bronze East repertoire announcement, you might have noticed a piece published by 8-Bit Handbell ("Superluminal," by Brian Seemann) that is *not* defined by one of the genres previously mentioned. This piece marks the beginning of a new direction for 8-Bit Handbell, unique, concert-level pieces that may not be an exact fit for one of the larger handbell publishers.
All this to say that if you have an arrangement that fits any of the aforementioned styles, or if you have something unique in your portfolio, I would be more than happy to have a look! Or, I'm always happy to answer questions. Feel free to respond to this post if you think the question may benefit the masses, or hit me up at the email listed below!
Hope everyone is well, and if you are at the start of your new school or church year, I wish you the best of luck as everything gets going!
Nick
