Hi everyone,

I'm planning for the spring 2026 season at the retirement community where I lead/ teach a group of enthusiastic ringers.   We have 3 octaves of handbells and 3 octaves of chimes.

I am looking for repertoire that showcase Broadway tunes. The themes for the spring concert is "Give My Regards to Broadway".  <smile>

So far I have:
Sunrise, Sunset arranged by Douglas Wagner
Give My Regards to Broadway arranged by Douglas Wagner
Edelweiss arranged by John Wilson
My Favorite Things arranged by Douglas Wagner
Do-Re-Mi arranged by Douglas Benton.

Please let me know if you can recommend other repertoire with a Broadway theme.

We have both experienced and novice ringers in our group so I am looking for something that is level 3 or preferably level 2 or 2+

Thank you!

*Shameless self-promotion incoming*

Check out Sheet Music Plus, there are a lot of us who have show tunes posted there!
I've got the currently topical Defying Gravity (which is definitely a little above L3) but also another great Stephen Schwartz tune, Beautiful City from "Godspell" (L3, but mostly because of the key changes)

There's also a Phantom of the Opera medley out there.

In addition to what was already suggested, Kevin McChesney has a very
accessible arrangement of "What I Did For Love" from Chorus Line.

Many thanks to everyone that has responded to my inquiry. I think I have enough materials for spring season!

Have a great spring 2026,

OMG

I used to live in Cary!  Learned to ring at Colonial Baptist Church, which has since changed its name.  It's now called The Shepherd's Church, on Tryon Road.  'Course this was in the previous millennium. (1999)  🤣  My first ever festival was the 1999 Capital Area Festival.  I'm not sure my chin ever made it off the ground.  Hearing sooooo many choirs playing at the same time and realizing we're all in tune.  And then the Raleigh Ringers played for us at lunch.  I remember saying to my friend and choir mate, "That's handbells!  Not sure what we're doing, but THAT's handbells!"

Is Glenaire the retirement home on Kildaire Farm Road?

Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane,
Joann

Yes, Glenaire is the retirement community near Kildaire Farm Road and near the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church.
