Summer Ring 2013 at Zion Lutheran, Ann Arbor

Hello everyone!

It's that time of year again when our church and school program year is ending (or has ended) and the pace of summer livin' kicks in.  As part of our summer offerings at Zion Lutheran, Ann Arbor, MI we host a series of FREE handbell workshops on Thursday evenings in June for those who:

     - enjoy the fellowship of ringing
     - love to ring bells
     - would like to learn more (or review the basics) in a relaxed setting free from the pressure of
       having to have this week's anthem ready to play.  :)

This year our topics will be:

- Bell Basics

learn or review the basics of ringing (and damping) a handbell

- Bells and the Body

learn how to ring with a relaxed ease, free of tension and stress in your body

- Bells in Worship

processionals, peals, ostinatos, random ringing and more
- Weaving

learn or review how to weave (with bells)

If you are in the area, or know of someone who is, you are invited to join us at 6:00 pm on Thursday evenings in June.  Zion is located at 1501 West Liberty Street (between Seventh and Stadium) on Ann Arbor's westside.  More information about Summer Ring can be found on the music page of Zion's website at: http://www.zlc-aa.org/music.html
