Text block issues

Hi all,

In just one file received from a composer, the text block shows a HUGE cursor even though the font is set to 12 pt. I've reset preferences, checked all the settings in the Text drop-downs, double-checked all preferences... to no avail. I've not enacted Export/Import XML yet since I don't want to lose articulation placements ... 

Ideas, anyone, please?  

Here's a screen shot and you can see how large the cursor is! When I add more lines, the text scrolls UP and outside of the box.  25 years in Finale - never saw this before!  lol
