Wow, how is it already the 28th? It feels like New Year’s was just yesterday! January has been long—and especially dry—so we're skipping to February and hoping for rain and 28 days as scheduled. We're also bringing you the February schedule a few days early because our Portland City Council series kicks off one week from today, starting with District 3 Councilors on Wednesday, Feb 4, 6:00–7:30pm at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. As much of a whirlwind as it’s been, a few bright spots from January stand out that we want to highlight. We’ve hosted three events that each brought together more than 100 community members across three districts:The Friday Forum and Legislative Preview are available to watch online on-demand on our YouTube channel. And if you missed the NLC Happy Hour, or couldn’t get in because it was at capacity, we’re sorry! You can RSVP for the February 26 event today to secure your spot. Before this month officially wraps up, we have one more event tonight. Join our Health & Public Safety Committee at Kells Irish Pub on Southwest 2nd in Downtown Portland for a panel discussion on improving mental health care access for people experiencing homelessness. Please note this event will not be recorded. RSVP to attend in person. |
