The 92nd annual high school baseball tournament is going on at koshien
field. Tickets are free (i think). Train fare is 780 one way. On
Sunday the afternoon games are at 1:30 and 4.
Even if you don't like baseball, you might want to come along for
several reasons. Koshien stadium is the Fenway park of Japanese
baseball, and you will get some instant respect from most kansai
people just by saying you've been there. The kids play with a lot of
courage and visible emotion, and it's a great way to get acquainted
with japan's number one sport.
We could go to the late game to accomodate people who don't want to
get up early on Sunday, or do the earlier game for people who want to
delve further into Osaka afterward.
