Here's Adams email about daimonji on Monday, just in case anyone
missed it who wanted to go:
meet at tits park between 16:30 and 16:45 at 16:45 SHARP we'll leave
tits park to catch the JR super rapid we'll arrive at Demachiyanagi
station at 18:14 from where we'll head to the Kamogawa river bank If
sanno is out of the way meet us at Demachiyanagi by 18:15
(hyperdia.com for routes) It should get pretty crowded so as let's try
our best not to be late!! Feel free to invite anyone� and let me know
if u have questions

It's a bonfire ceremony honoring the old souls and giving them a place
to return to. They light 5 massive bonfires on the mountainside with
daimonji being the first kanji lit. Found it on Wiki and it looked
pretty awesome.
