Jerry at www.ledmodulelight.com has written to let me know about a new
LED product offering. You can now buy extremely bright 5mm LEDs with
pre-assembled tails and triple-wrapped in heat shrink tubing for a
plug-and-play install in your vehicle (car, boat, motorcycle,
snowmobile, X-wing fighter or whatever you drive). The proper current-
limiting resistor is already installed. We use 18AWG wires for these
LEDs, wire colors will be red/black or red/blue.

What’s great about ordering these preassembled from www.ledmodulelight.com
is that you can order in as low a quantity as you like, there is no a
minimum order. But quantity discounts available in on orders as small
as 10 pieces on this item. If you need a lot of LEDs in your vehicle,
this is a huge timesaver–individually soldering and shrinkwrapping
more than a couple LEDs gets old real quick, I can tell you from
experience.

These are priced around a 50 cents each at quantity 1, but get cheaper
quickly in quantity. Colors currently available are white, red, blue,
green, amber...
