Hamster Classic v2.1.0.11
Q, Can outgoing SMTP e-mail be configured so that Hamster does
its own MX resolutions, thereby by-passing my ISP's e-mail server?
What might I need to do to achieve this?
TIA

ok thanks. shucks........ I already have and use occasionally a
free version of ArgoSoft mail server which does MX resolutions
remotely, and I know that Mail4Traq does it too. Just wondered
if Hamster could do it.
Hamster Playground will do that for you.

Mailflush.

There does exist a script (MX-Kit-mailflush, see script archive
http://www.arcorhome.de/newshamster/micha ). Another posibility is to use
another flavour of Hamster itself (IIRC both HPG and HY are able to do that
genuine).
But I wouldn't recomend it, as plenty of servers do verify the sender host,
i.e. they might refuse your direct injection.
