A question on Hamster Classic v2.1.0.11 filtering.

-does Hamster download all message bodies on my subscribed
newsgroups *before* it applies any filters? -or-

-does it apply my filters to the XOVER data it receives and drop
those which fail, only downloading message bodies for the rest
where it then applies filters prefaced with a "?" before making
the remainder available to my news client?

Thank you Wolfgang.
That's clarified an uncertainty I've had for some time.

See Wolfgang's posting...
...mine was posted before, but hang around some in my local hamster.
