I've got an installation of Hamster Classic that I need to move
from one machine to another. I've sucessfully installed it on
the new machine and copied all of the files and subdirectories
in the C:\Program Files directory to the new machine. In spite
of this, the new copy doesn't have the logon/password
information that the old one has.

Where is this information stored so that I can copy it to the
new machine?

Thanks

You should sue your parents for damages for giving /such/ a name to you
(for the rules in this hierarchy, please read
http://www.arcorhome.de/newshamster/micha/usenet/rules.txt ).

Surprisingly, the file is named 'password.!!!'.

But the question is not /where/ but /how/: It is encoded with usually
both user dependent and machine dependent values.

To decode the password file (and afterwards encode it again), you have
to look in the internet for a tool called 'hampassedit'.
