Hi Folks,

 

I’m excited to share with you that the book I co-authored with Amanda Reiman (some of you know her from her work with Drug Policy Alliance) titled “Harm Reduction Approaches with Adolescents Who Use Substances” is scheduled to be published November 2025. It’s written for graduate students, clinicians, educators, and families and anyone sitting with teens in clinics, schools, and living rooms.

I’m extremely grateful to this brilliant community because I honestly couldn’t have written it without the influence and embrace of my harm reduction colleagues. Your fierce commitment to doing things differently completely transformed how I understand working with people who use substances and other marginalized communities. You’ve shown me that harm reduction isn’t just a set of strategies—it’s an ethic, a way of being in relationship, and a challenge to systems that have too often failed young people and their families.
