Hello HamSCI - The HamSCIence Zoom teleconference is taking a week off (No Zoom meeting on April 2nd), as there are many holidays on or around this weekend, so people are likely traveling, preparing for visitors, or perhaps taking time for quiet contemplation.

Looking ahead…

- Our next formal presentation will be on April 9th, when we’ll be hearing from Tom Crowley, KT4XN, a radio astronomer (among other pursuits). Tom will be speaking on the search for subatomic particles - muons - using an equipment built for a high school STEM project.

QAC*,

Gary, AF8A

*QAC is one of the lesser-known Q signals, radio shorthand, from the early days of radio telegraphy.  Rather than pound out all of the following on a Morse code key "73, good luck, have a nice day, may your new antenna stay in the trees, be well, hope a cat doesn't leave a hairball in your shoes, etc.", QAC is an acronym for 'Q All Compliments'.  Short, sweet, and to the point.  QAC!
