Are there any operational ionosondes that are available online?  It's been awhile since I checked, and now I see that none of the links I have lead to any current, operational data.

Hi,

https://giro.uml.edu/

Particularly: https://giro.uml.edu/didbase/scaled.php for characteristic parameters.

Cheers,

David

There are 24 on GIRO that have sent live data in the past day, and a handful more that have been active in the past month but aren't just this second.

Unfortunately for those of us in the US, the ones in Texas, Michigan, Florida, California, Hawaii, Guam, and half of the ones in Alaska are no longer available for general consumption since 2024, so if you were relying on one of those you're out of luck. There's only one continuously-operating and one intermittently-operating ionosonde in the "lower 48" with real-time open data.
