Greetings, All - We have a light agenda for tomorrow (Sept 26, 4PM Eastern in the US), so feel free to bring recent questions, findings, observations and so on to the group.
I propose reviewing an article on Case Western Reserve's CHU listening experiment on the April 8th eclipse. It was published in The Canadian Amateur a few weeks ago, and it contains some interesting graphs of the CHU audio signals.
We should take time to make everyone aware of the new '
HamSCI-Antenna-Project' forum on Groups.IO. The purpose is to ferret out the best MF-HF antenna to be supplied with the DASI-2 grant stations. Rob Robinett is heading up the antenna effort. As the saying goes: "You can't do good science without good data" and that's exactly why we want to choose the 'best' possible antenna for capturing the spectrum. 'Best' is, of course, a relative term. As we often said my old R&D days: 'You can have it fast, you can have it good, you can have it cheap, but you can't have all three'. Is there a similar triangle for antennas? Join in to find out.
