Participation Survey for HamSCI Personal Space Weather Station Project

Hi, HamSCI!

I am asking for some help with our annual reports for the NSF Personal Space Weather Station Project grants. Each year, we need to file annual reports with the NSF to show our progress on the grant. If you participated in the PSWS project from July 2025 - July 2026, I ask that you please fill out the form below.

Please note that this information will be submitted to the United States National Science Foundation. This project is supported by US NSF grants AGS-2432821, AGS-2432822, AGS-2432824, and AGS-2432823.

For effort, just do your best to estimate number of months. 1 month is the smallest number you can put down.

In terms of “participating” in the NSF-funded effort, would that include the construction and installation of equipment or only the actual collection of data? So far, I’ve only built and installed the magnetometer but have not started uploading any measurements.

Hi Mark,

All of that (construction and installation of equipment, as well as collection of data) are included. Your have also been very kind to send in comments and feedback. So, I would definitely say you have participated.

There is a place on the form to say your level of participation/what you did.

Just a quick reminder… please fill out the NSF DASI2 Project participation survey if you have not already. This is very important for our annual NSF grant reporting, which is due soon.

If your primary involvement is hosting and maintaining a PSWS node, I recommend answering “1 month” for the time spent on the project.

Dr. Frissell - I just submitted the form and I hope you received it OK. One thing to note is that on Q10, I inserted several comments that I hope are readily visible as the return tab did not appear to function in the form so my comments are a long stream for which you need to scroll to the right. 

Hopefully that is not a problem. If so I can try and resubmit. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this interesting project
