I see that a number of astronomy sites are predicting this year's Geminids meteor shower as Dec 13-14 and not the Dec 12-13 dates shown in the HamSci info. The peak of the shower is predicted to occur around 03:00 UTC on Dec. 14th.
FYI. Time to get ready for the December Meteor Scatter QSO Party!

If you'd like to get in some more practice on MSK144 don't forget the Orionid shower which is underway now. Peak will be tomorrow morning (21 Oct) but a day or 2 off peak should see some enhanced activity. These are fast meteoroids left behind by Comet Halley. The meteor rate is nowhere near the Perseid and Geminid levels but could still be useful for checking out your hardware and software.
Also, sporadic meteor activity is always available with rates highest near local sunrise. Don't wait until the Geminids to give you station some exercise.
