Conversion of PSWS server storage to start on Tuesday, website will be down for up to 2 weeks

To all PSWS-Network users:

If you are in the midst of a HamSCI data analysis project for  which you need to download data (e.g., digital RF or csv spectrum data, or magnetometer data stored on PSWS), we ask that you please download whatever data you will need by this Tuesday (August 18, 2026) by 11 AM CDT (1600UTC).  The PSWS website (which includes the data download API) will be down for up to 2 weeks to allow copying data to the new data storage system, along with a number of major security enhancements.

The system will still accept uploads (using either token or passwordless using public key) during this transition, that is, the sftp server is planned to be running.

We will keep you informed of our progress. This is the next major step in converting the PSWS Network to run inside the infrastructure of The University of Alabama's High Performance Computing Center.
