Hello All,
I decided to do an experiment using the Northern Utah SDR Server #1 on websdr.org to explore the effects of the eclipse on the mid-path reflection point between an AM broadcast station in Las Vegas, NV transmitting to the SDR in Corinne, UT. I was able to see an increase of the signal by about 5 dB during the eclipse as the absorption of the D-Region clearly seemed to reduce. I have provided all of the results and other information, and have not tried to do any ray tracing, or other more rigorous analysis. I hope some of you can look it over and provide comments and more ideas on what was seen.
Thanks and 73, Jim WA3FET
PS: I tried to think of people who would be interested in this and most likely forgot some people to include. Please feel free to forward this to any other interested parties.
