Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe has appointed Kara Cannon, former CEO of Enzo Biochem, as its new Executive Director. A Long Island native and nationally respected science and technology leader, Cannon brings more than three decades of experience guiding mission-driven, innovation-focused organizations. |

Cannon steps into the role at a pivotal moment for TSCW as it advances the restoration of Nikola Tesla’s historic Wardenclyffe laboratory and prepares for the opening of the Eugene Sayan Visitor Center—the first building on the site designed to welcome the public and serve as a hub for education, inspiration, and STEAM learning.
Having previously served on the TSCW Board of Directors, Cannon brings deep insight into the organization’s mission and momentum. Nikola Tesla’s genius, reached far beyond motors and power lines. He loved theater, art, and literature, and in New York he formed close friendships with writers, editors, artists, and actors. In his Manhattan laboratory he entertained friends and investors with dazzling experiments, and his demonstrations at Columbia College, the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, the New York Academy of Sciences, and universities abroad made him an international sensation.
