Thank you for the information, Michael. I never met Phil personally,
but listened in
on many of the Teamspeak sessions on HPSDR. Phil was an exceptionally
gifted engineer, and made several significant leaps forward in SDR
with his work.
He will certainly be greatly missed.

For those wondering, Phil became a silent key on Monday the 23rd of February 2026. His funeral service was on Friday the 6th of March. He'd been battling MND.

Hi Michael:
Sorry to hear this news. I remember attending a talk that Phil gave on SDRs at the Dayton Hamvention in 2007. His talk wad outstanding and he did a great job of unpacking various aspects of SDR technology. It was a very memorable talk. Phil was a talented RF engineer.
