Hi again, everyone. Here is an abstract from Alec on the Panhelio system:
“Panhelio is an ecosystem for collaborative and repeatable heliophysics data processes, science and forecasting. It brings state-of-the-art data access and analysis to heliophysics data types to streamline science. Panhelio's goals are similarly aligned to Pangeo's goal except for heliophysics: (1) Foster collaboration around the open source scientific python ecosystem for the solar, interplanetary, magnetospheric, and ionospheric sciences. (2) Support the development with domain-specific helioscience packages. (3) Improve scalability of these tools to handle petabyte-scale datasets on HPC and cloud platforms. We will demonstrate Panhelio by how it is being used to predict solar energetic particles (SEPs) and discuss current efforts to make Panhelio scalable to solar imagery data and available to the heliophysics community (HamSCI included!).”
