We will have one speaker on the topic of E-layer propagation: Jim Bacon, G3YLA.
Jim, an active ham, is a retired meteorologist who has worked in the aviation, oil and gas, and media industries (including the BBC). A subject matter expert, Jim is a member of the RSGB Propagation Studies Committee and has authored many articles and presented at both RSGB Convention and HamSCI gatherings. He presently runs a propagation website propquest.co.uk , which is currently based on a European view of propagation, but has application to the United States. Jim recently retired from running a small weather company, Weatherquest, based at the University of East Anglia. He is a member of the Norfolk (UK) Amateur Radio Club in Norwich.
Recall that the main purpose for this telecon is to cover the science aspects of HamSCI's activities. Comments, questions, planning related to the science aspects of any of the HamSCI's many projects are welcome. These Zoom sessions are typically recorded and made available on HamSCI's YouTube channel at a later date.
New attendees are always welcome.
